What is a Discount Calculator?
This tool has two modes:
- Forward: Enter original price + discount % → get sale price and savings
- Reverse: Enter final price + amount saved → get original price and discount %
Formulas
Forward calculation:
- Discount Amount = Original Price × (Discount % ÷ 100)
- Sale Price = Original Price − Discount Amount
Reverse calculation:
- Original Price = Final Price + Savings
- Discount % = (Savings ÷ Original Price) × 100
How to use this tool
Forward: Enter the original price and discount percentage, then click Calculate Discount.
Reverse: Enter what you paid (final price) and how much you saved, then click Calculate Original.
